Responsible for daily operations of unit. Essential duties include: scheduling of staff, staff education; competency development and monitoring; development and monitoring of Process Improvement Plans, to improve the safety &quality of Patient Care.
Staff performance reviews, concurrent initiation and review of unit policies; routinely plans unit staff meetings; develops and monitors unit budget; participates in hospital committees, teams and nursing management activities; staffs unit per plan. Responsible for adherence to professional standards of care.
Effective verbal and written communication skills, word processing/computer skills preferred. Ability to maintain solid working relationships with medical and hospital staff. Financial management skills. Posse’s problem solving, prioritization abilities. Attention to quality and customer satisfaction. Ability to guide and motivate staff. Responsible for payroll functions; ability to evaluate the productivity of the Department.
Minimum of 5 years clinical experience. 2 Years previous supervisory or management experience preferred. ACLS required, BLS required. BSN preferred. PALS preferred.
Licensed RN in State of Ohio. Specialty certification and/or BSN preferred.
